Complaints Resolution Process

COMPLAINTS RESOLUTION PROCESS

AACET is a governing body for the Complementary Equine Therapy profession in Alberta. Our association sets practicing Standards and Guidelines for our Practitioner Members, from varying modalities, who are working in the industry within Alberta. We are responsible for ensuring high standards, promoting education and development and professional conduct for all of our members. We protect your interests by ensuring that all concerns from the public regarding our Practitioner Members are addressed.

If you have a concern about the therapy that your animal has received, often the best first step is to discuss the matter with your Complementary Equine Therapist. You are entitled to a simple and understandable explanation of the therapy that has been provided for your animal.

We encourage you to contact your Therapist. If you are unable to resolve the matter by talking to your Complementary Equine Therapist you may contact the Alberta Association of Complementary Equine therapy by phone, letter or email to discuss your concerns regarding one of our Practitioner Members with AACET’s Vice-President, Shantel Perreal.
